Jesse Puljujärvi (born May 7, 1998 in Älvkarleby , Sweden ) is a Finnish - Swedish ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League since July 2016 and plays in the position of right winger . At the same time, he has been working for their farm team, the Bakersfield Condors in the American Hockey League , and since the 2019/20 season again for his training club Kärpät Oulu .
Career
Puljujärvi made his debut for Kärpät Oulu in the Finnish Liiga , the country's top division , in the 2014/15 season and also played for the club in the Champions Hockey League . In the 2016 NHL Entry Draft , he was selected by the Edmonton Oilers in fourth position.
On July 13, 2016, he signed a three-year contract with the Oilers. In Edmonton, the attacker played 28 games in his first NHL season before being handed over to the Bakersfield Condors from the American Hockey League in January 2017 , where he ended the season.
