career

Focher began his career in November 1991 at Hammer SpVg . There he played until the summer of 2004 and then moved to the youth department of Borussia Dortmund . Here he was in 2007 and 2009 with the B- and A-juniors each German runner . In addition, he was in the 2008/09 season in the final of the DFB Junior Club Cup , which was also lost and in which he was not used. In the same season he played for the second team from Borussia Dortmund in the Regionalliga West for the first time in the senior division. He guarded the goal twice in the first half of the season and 13 times in the second half and rose with his team to the third division . There he was the second goalkeeper behind Marcel Höttecke , but after he had moved to the substitute bench of the Borussia Bundesliga team due to an injury to Roman Weidenfeller , he made his professional league debut in the away game at Kickers Offenbach on February 7, 2010 . From July 2010 he was the third goalkeeper behind Roman Weidenfeller and Mitchell Langerak in the first team's squad.

Focher's contract with Borussia Dortmund expired on June 30, 2012. For the 2012/13 season he moved to the Austrian first division team SK Sturm Graz . There he signed a two-year contract until the end of June 2014 and took the place of the previous goalkeeper Silvije Čavlina , whose contract was no longer renewed. In Graz Focher met his former junior trainer Peter Hyballa . On October 7, 2012, he made his first-team debut in a 1-1 draw against FK Austria Wien .

On September 2, 2013, Focher moved back to Borussia Dortmund II and signed a one-year contract until summer 2014. In summer 2015, Focher interrupted his professional career at the age of 25 to start studying business administration. For the second half of the 2016/17 season he joined FC Kray , with whom he was relegated from the Oberliga Niederrhein . In October 2017, upper division club Schwarz-Weiß Essen announced Focher's commitment. At the end of the season he left the club and moved to the Westphalia League for RSV Meinerzhagen .
