Jolien D'hoore (born March 14, 1990 in Ghent ) is a Belgian racing cyclist who is active on track and road . The all-rounder is the most successful Belgian cyclist since the beginning of the 2010s.
Athletic career
Jolien D'hoore started athletics at the age of six and switched to cycling at the age of twelve. In 2005 she became vice-champion of the junior women in the Omnium , the following year she won three junior titles on the track. In 2007 she was again three-time Belgian champion on the track, in the 500-meter time trial , in scratch and sprint , in three other disciplines ( keirin , points race and single pursuit ) she was runner-up. In 2008 she won the world junior title in road racing and the national junior title in road racing in Cape Town . In 2012 she finished fifth in the Omnium at the Olympic Games in London .
In 2012, 2014 and 2015 Jolien D'hoore became Belgian road racing champion.
In 2016 Jolien D'hoore was nominated for participation in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . There she won the bronze medal in the Omnium . The following year she was in Hong Kong together with Lotte Kopecky world champion in two-man team driving ; the title was awarded to women for the first time this year. She also won the bronze medal in the scratch.
At the UCI Track World Championships 2019 , D'hoore won the bronze medal in scratch. The following March she fell in the Drentse Eight race and broke her collarbone . In May of the same year she won a stage of Emakumeen Bira and in June two stages of the Women's Tour .

D'hoore has a degree in physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
