Jomaine Ellay Consbruch (born January 26, 2002 in Bielefeld ) is a German football player . The defensive midfielder is under contract with Arminia Bielefeld .

Life

Consbruch was born in 2002 in Bielefeld, East Westphalia , where he grew up. He attended the Luis School from fifth to tenth grade. In 2018 he then moved to the upper level of the Helmholtz grammar school in Bielefeld.

Career

From 2006 to 2009 and from 2011 to 2012 Consbruch was a player at the Bielefeld district association SV Ubbedissen . From 2009 to 2011 he played for Arminia Bielefeld. In 2012, Consbruch moved again to Arminia Bielefeld. There he went through almost all the youth departments, played in the B-Junioren-Bundesliga and stood with the U-17 team of the DSC in the 2018/19 season in the final of the B-Junioren Westphalia Cup, which they won.

For the 2019/20 season, Consbruch moved from the U17 to the professional squad . In addition, as a player of the younger age group, he is a member of the A-youth team (U19). On July 29, 2019, Consbruch made his debut under head coach Uwe Neuhaus at the age of 17 in the 2nd Bundesliga when he was substituted on in a 1-1 draw against FC St. Pauli in the final phase. The midfielder's contract, which ran until June 2020, was extended for another three years before the winter break.
