Christian Gebauer (born December 20, 1993 ) is an Austrian football player . He is under contract with the German Bundesliga club Arminia Bielefeld .

Career

Gebauer started his career at SV Matrei . In 2005 he moved to SV Navis . In June 2010 he played for the first team of Navis in the eight-class first class . As master of the East season, he rose to the end of the season with Navis in the district league . In the seventh highest division, he came to 23 missions in the 2010/11 season, in which he scored six goals.

During the 2011/12 season he returned to his youth club Matrei, which at that time was in the fourth-highest division. In August 2011 he played his first game in the Tyrolean league against SVG Reichenau . By the end of the season he came to 17 appearances in the fourth division, in which he remained without a goal. He also played five games for Matrei's reserve in 1st class. In August 2012, he scored his first goal in the fourth-highest division in a 4-3 win against SC Kundl . In the 2012/13 season he was used in all 30 games of Matrei and scored five goals.

For the 2013/14 season he moved to league competitor SVG Reichenau . For Innsbruck he came to 28 appearances in the Tyrolean League that season, in which he scored five goals. With Reichenau he just missed promotion to the regional league as second behind FC Kitzbühel . For the 2014/15 season he joined the regional division WSG Wattens . He made his debut in the third highest division in July 2014 against TSV Neumarkt . In September 2014 he scored his first goal in the regional league in a 4-1 win against FC Kufstein . In the 2014/15 season he was used in all 30 Wattener games and scored seven goals. As a runner-up behind SV Austria Salzburg , he missed promotion to the second division with the WSG .

In the 2015/16 season Gebauer was finally able to become champions of the Regionalliga West with the Tyroleans and move up to the second highest division. In that season he came to 27 missions and one goal. After promotion, he made his second division debut in July 2016 when he was in the starting line-up against FC Blau-Weiß Linz on matchday one of the 2016/17 season . In August 2016, he scored his first goal in professional football in a 2-1 win in the derby against FC Wacker Innsbruck . In March 2017, a 5-0 win against FC Liefering was followed by his first double. By the end of the season, he was used in all 36 games of the season and scored ten goals.

For the 2017/18 season Gebauer moved to the Bundesliga club SCR Altach , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2020. In June 2017 he made his debut in the European Cup against Tschichura Satschchere . With Altach he was eliminated that season in qualifying for the UEFA Europa League in the playoff against Maccabi Tel Aviv . He made his debut in the Bundesliga in July 2017 when he was in the starting line-up against FK Austria Wien on the first day of that season . In October 2017 he scored his first goal in the top division in a 2-2 draw against FC Admira Wacker Mödling . In his first Bundesliga season with Vorarlberg, he was used in all 36 games of the season and scored four goals. In the 2018/19 season he came to 31 Bundesliga games in which he scored four goals. He made 31 appearances again in the 2019/20 season and this time scored five goals this season.

After the 2019/20 season, he left the club three years after his contract ended and moved to Germany for Bundesliga promoted Arminia Bielefeld , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2023.
