career

Jonas Svensson played for Rosenborg Trondheim when he was young ; previously he was active in his place of birth at Verdal IL and Levanger FB . His first game in the Tippeligaen , the highest Norwegian league, he made on April 10, 2011 when coach Jan Jönsson brought him into play in the 87th minute for Daniel Fredheim Holm in the home game against Lillestrøm SK . As a result, Svensson was able to earn a regular place in the team and completed 160 competitive games for Rosenborg by the end of 2016.

At the end of January 2017 he moved to AZ Alkmaar in the Dutch Eredivisie . His contract runs until 2021.

National team

Svensson took part with the Norwegian U-17 selection in 2009 in the qualification for the U-17 European Football Championship 2010 and ran with the Norwegian U-19 national team in the qualification for the U-19 European Football Championship 2012 .

On October 11, 2016, he made his debut for the Norwegian national team in a 4-1 victory in the World Cup qualifier in Oslo against San Marino.
