The Canton Beaufort was by 2015 a French canton in the department of Jura and in the former region of Franche-Comte . It comprised 18 parishes in the arrondissement of Lons-le-Saunier ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Beaufort . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. Fernand Fournier was the last representative in the conseil général des Départements from 2004 to 2015.
