the Jura department

The District of Saint-Julien was by 2015 a French canton in the department of Jura and in the former region of Franche-Comte . It comprised 16 parishes in the arrondissement of Lons-le-Saunier ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Saint-Julien . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. Hélène Pélissard ( UMP ) was the last representative in the General Council of the Département from 2008 to 2015 .
