The Canton Arinthod was 2015 a French canton in the department of Jura and in the former region of Franche-Comte . It comprised 24 parishes in the Arrondissement of Lons-le-Saunier ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Arinthod . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. The last representative in the conseil général des Départements was Gilles Carnet from 1992 to 2015.
