The canton of Castets is a former constituency in the Dax arrondissement , in the Landes département and in the Aquitaine region in France , which existed until 2015 .
history
The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the départements as part of what was then the "Dax District".
With the founding of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the Dax arrondissement.

geography
The canton bordered in the north on the cantons of Mimizan and Morcenx in the arrondissement of Mont-de-Marsan , in the east on the canton of Tartas , in the south on the cantons of Dax-Nord and Soustons and in the west on the Bay of Biscay .
