Karl Radinger was born in 1912 in Kriegshaber . At that time, Kriegshaber was still an independent municipality and was incorporated into Augsburg in 1916. Radinger's childhood years were overshadowed by the First World War . In 1926, at the age of fourteen, he began training as a decorative painter and from 1932 attended the Augsburg Werkkunstschule under teachers such as Fritz Döllgast . During the Second World War Radinger was stationed as a soldier in Gelsenkirchen in 1941 and during this time, as a young artist, he exhibited his works for the first time in galleries and museums in the Ruhr area , such as the Heymer art house in Bochum . In 1942 he became a member of the Bochumer Künstler Kreis and took part in exhibitions in the Bochum Gemäldegalerie , the Märkisches Museum in Witten , Wattenscheid and Siegen . Because of an injury, he had to spend a long time in the Westphalian hospital town of Ahlen in 1944 , where the chief doctor in the St. Michael hospital set up a studio for him. During this time, among other things, his painting The Apostle Paul was created .

After the war, Radinger became a member of the Augsburg artists' association “Die Ecke” and a member of the professional association of visual artists in 1946 . He took part in exhibitions in the "corner" in the Schaezlerpalais and in the destroyed Golden Hall of the Augsburg town hall .

The design of the church of St. Wolfgang in Meitingen , whose pastor was his older brother Johannes (1906–1988), is one of Radinger's main works. Radinger also created the Stations of the Cross for the Holy Trinity Church in his home town of Augsburg, which was destroyed in World War II and then rebuilt, as well as the new altar , the pulpit and a large Christmas crib based on the Tyrolean model.

Karl Radinger died on August 24, 1966, just a few weeks before the age of 54, in a traffic accident in Neusäß . He found his final resting place in the Catholic cemetery in Augsburg-Kriegshaber.
