Karolinenfield is a settlement in the municipality of Remptendorf in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia .
geography
All around the forest through the middle of a power line, not far to the west of the hamlet of Lückenmühle and to the east are Burgk Castle and the village of Burgk in the south- east Thuringian slate mountains in the Saale area . The passing road 1102 from Ziegenrück - Liebschütz - Liebengrün - Remptendorf and Ebersdorf connects the farm with the other places.

history
The current farm complex was first mentioned in a document in 1790. The place became known, among other things, as the venue for the Thuringian 24-hour orienteering race , which took place there in 2007 and 2015.
