Katharina Klement (born December 1, 1963 in Graz ) is an Austrian composer and pianist .

life and work

Klement studied piano and composition at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna , where he also attended a course in electroacoustic and experimental music. At the University of York she took the guest course music technology . In graduated Klement private studies in plastic / sculpture and dance improvisation .

Klement works as a composer-performer in the field of notated and improvised, electronic and instrumental music. Her main focus is on spatial concepts and cross-linking projects in the areas of music / text / video / performance. Klement is particularly interested in the piano and the playing techniques that go with it.
