Kite - Angel of Vengeance (original title Kite ) is an American - Mexican action film by the director Ralph Ziman from 2014 . It is the remake of the Japanese anime Kite by Yasuomi Umetsu . India Eisley and Samuel L. Jackson can be seen in the leading roles .

The young police daughter Sawa chases the emir, the murderer of her parents. She is supported by Karl, a colleague of her father's. After killing the Emir, whose gangster organization kidnaps and sells children, she discovers, with the help of her friend Oburi, that in reality the corrupt Karl is her parents' murderer. After a shootout in which Karl Oburi's father was shot and injured himself, Sawa puts him under drugs that obliterate his memory and leaves him to the police, who have since discovered that Karl is corrupt.
