Kluszkowce is a village with a Schulzenamt in the municipality of Czorsztyn in the powiat Nowotarski of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in Poland .

geography

The place is by the river Kluszkowianka north of Lake Czorsztyn dam below the mountains Luban in the Gorcen and Wdżar in Pieninen in the region Podhale at the provincial road 969 .

history

The new settlement super Dunayecz ultra castrum nostrum Wronyn was founded in 1307 and belonged to the Poor Clares in Stary Sącz until 1320 . In 1320 the Poor Clares allowed certain Hynek de Niger to found the village this time on 60 Franconian hooves according to Magdeburg law . From that year the village belonged to the Starostei Czorsztyn. The current name appeared later: Clessino (1350), Kloczownicze (1413), Chloczkowycze (1513), Kloskovicze (1529), Kliszkowice (1551), Kluskowice (1581). It was the seat of a parish until 1577, when it became a branch of the parish in Maniowy.

The village initially belonged to the Kingdom of Poland (from 1569 the aristocratic republic of Poland-Lithuania ), Kraków Voivodeship , Sącz District. During the first partition of Poland in 1772 the village became part of the Habsburg Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria and from 1804 to the Habsburg Empire . After the end of the First World War and the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Kluszkowce came to Poland in 1918. After the German invasion of Poland , the place was occupied by the Wehrmacht in World War II and became part of the Generalgouvernement . From 1975 to 1998 Kluszkowce was part of the Nowy Sącz Voivodeship .

After the construction of the dam in Niedzica , it was partially flooded by the Czorsztyn reservoir in 1996.

Kluszkowce has been a popular long-distance destination since the beginning of the 20th century. Since the construction of the reservoir, tourism has played an even more important role. The tourist infrastructure is very well developed.

The place has access to the swimming lake. There is a ship and boat dock. The White Fleet docks there. There is also the option of renting sailboats and kayaks.

Winter sports

In the village there is the Czorsztyn-Ski ski area , which is part of the TatrySki ski pass association .
