Ladeburg has been part of the city of Bernau near Berlin since July 1, 2001 and has around 3006 inhabitants (as of 2018).

history

The village was established as a road Angersdorf after taking possession of the Barnim by the Askanier to 1231 . The construction of the stone church, which together with the village pool, forms the core of the village, also fell during this period. On November 19, 1300, Margrave Albrecht III confirmed . the Cistercian nuns of the Friedland monastery near Wriezen the goods and income. The document also includes three rye wispel from the village of “Ladeborch”. This is the first documentary mention of Ladeburg. Over the centuries, a cross-shaped village complex emerged through an intersection with another settlement axis.

To the north of Ladeburg, the remains of the bunker systems of the so-called " Koralle " camp , the former central naval radio control center for submarines during World War II, are still to be found .

During the GDR , the 41st anti-aircraft missile brigade "Hermann Duncker" of the Air Force of the National People's Army (LSK / LV) was stationed in Ladeburg , for which a bunker had been built. After reunification, the facility was initially continued to be operated by FlaRak squadron 52 of the 5th Air Force Division and closed on December 31, 1991; FlaRak squadron 52 was dissolved on December 31, 1993.

The square choir was built together with the five-sided apse in the early 13th century. The age of the roof structure could be determined to the year 1414 with the help of dendrochronological studies. This makes it the oldest roof structure in Brandenburg. In 1853 the church tower was added, replacing a previous building on the choir. The roof structure was renovated in 2011 and 2012.

Ladeburg has a main road (L 31), which enables a fast connection with the city center of Bernau as well as Lanke . Several bus lines serve this route.

There is also a direct connection via Schmetzdorfer Straße to the Bernau Nord settlement , where the Bernau Nord junction of the A 11 is also located.

At the eastern end of Ladeburg, the former federal highway 2 runs towards Eberswalde . However, there is no direct connection from the B 2 to the Ladeburg settlement.

The area around Ladeburg is characterized by forest and agricultural land. Many signposted paths lead to the northern forest area “Ladeburger Heide” and the Biesenthaler basin . Pine , larch , robinia and deciduous forests grow there . In addition to the hiking trails, there is an extensive network of bridle paths.

To the west of Ladeburg is the “ Ladeburger Schäferpfühle ” nature reserve . Several small bodies of water, wet meadows and fallow fields provide a habitat for rare plant species. The broad-leaved orchid ( Dactylorhiza majalis ) and numerous amphibian species such as z. B. the fire-bellied toad , which is on the red list . The shepherd's puddles serve as a breeding and resting place for the white stork and other bird species.

In the vicinity of Ladeburg there are rows of trees and old avenues, for example the linden trees along the road from Bernau to Ladeburg and the oak avenue (Klosterfelder Weg) with around 200 year old oaks from Bernau towards the sand pit west of Ladeburg. The natural monuments include u. a. the old elm ( Ulmus laevis ) on Rüdnitzer Straße, a willow ( Salix alba ) on the bank of the small water body “Böhms Pfuhl”, the oak and horse chestnut on the village square and the linden tree in the churchyard.

Northeast of Ladeburg for B 2 is a closed fruit tree Allee with various mirabelle locations , apples and pears . These old fruit stocks provide a suitable habitat for many animal species.

The long-distance cycle route Berlin – Usedom runs through Ladeburg .

Regular events

In January the Christmas trees are burned on the premises of the fire department. In May there is a riding and jumping tournament, which is one of the largest in Brandenburg. At midsummer the community organizes a concert at the village pond. The church is used, among other things, for changing exhibitions and a Christmas concert. A Christmas market takes place annually in the run-up to Christmas on the village meadow.
