The Landesliga Südbaden 1948/49  was the fourth season of the top amateur football class in Südbaden after the Second World War . It was located one level below the Oberliga Südwest , which also covered southern Baden until 1950. Newcomers to the league this season were SV Kuppenheim , FV St. Georgen and FC Blau-Weiß Freiburg .

Südbadischer Meister 1949 were the Sportfreunde Lahr , who rose together with the table runner-up SV Kuppenheim in the Oberliga Südwest. The VfR Engen got off the only club.
