The 1st Amateur League South Baden 1972/73  was the 23rd season of the 1st Amateur League in South Baden - the forerunner of today's  Association League South Baden . The South Baden amateur champion was the  SC Baden-Baden . The amateurs of Freiburg FC and Alemannia Zähringen had to relegate to the 2nd amateur league. SV Bühlertal and SV Laufenburg were promoted for the following season  .

The South Baden participant in the German Amateur Soccer Championship 1973 was FC Emmendingen . Already in the first round it was over against Rhineland representative SC 09 Oberlahnstein.
