Langeneichstädt is a village in the Saalekreis in Saxony-Anhalt . Since January 1st, 2006 it has been part of the city of Müuellen (Geiseltal) .
history
In a register of the tithe of the Hersfeld monastery , which was created between 881 and 899, (Langen-) Eichstädt is mentioned for the first time as a place of tenancy in Ehstat im Friesenfeld .
The places Ober- and Niedereichstädt (also called Langen- and Markeichstädt) belonged to the Wettin , later Electoral Saxon office of Freyburg until 1815 . The decisions of the Congress of Vienna they came to Prussia and were 1,816 county Querfurt in the administrative district of Merseburg of Saxony Province allocated to which they belonged to the 1944th
Since April 1, 1937 the municipality of Langeneichstädt has been the legal successor to the municipalities of Niedereichstädt and Obereichstädt. Since January 1, 2006, the community has been part of the city of Müuellen (Geiseltal) .

The coat of arms was awarded on October 18, 1937 by the President of the Province of Saxony.
Blazon : "In silver on green ground next to each other a green oak with golden acorns and a red watch tower with a blue pointed roof."
The municipality of Langeneichstädt has been the legal successor to the municipalities of Niedereichstädt and Obereichstädt since April 1, 1937. The coat of arms is based on the old seal image of the community of Niedereichstädt, which showed the Eichstädter Warte next to the oak.
The coat of arms was designed by the Magdeburg State Archives Councilor Otto Korn .
Local partnerships
A partnership has existed since 1993 with the municipality of Rudno nad Hronom from Slovakia .

Transport links
To the west of the village, the federal highway 180 runs from Querfurt to Naumburg (Saale) . The place has a stop on the Merseburg – Querfurt railway line , which is served every two hours by DB Regio Südost .
