The 18th studio album by the Cologne rock band BAP is lifelong . It was released in 2016 by Universal Music under the band name Niedeckens BAP for the 40th anniversary of the band.

Publications

The album was released on LP, CD and as a limited box edition. In addition to the studio album, the box contains a DVD with live recordings of three concerts and a vinyl single with the two bonus titles from the De Luxe Edition CD ( Step by Step and Heimweh noh Kölle ). In addition, the box contains a BAP “lifelong” t-shirt, a mini poster of the band, four postcards (one of which is signed as an autograph) and a writing book.

The album's anniversary tour will begin on May 18 in Münster and will be titled The Most Popular Songs . In addition to pieces from the new album, Niedeckens BAP will play the most popular pieces in the band's history.

Others

Wolfgang Niedecken dedicates his anniversary CD to "[s] a deceased companion from four decades". The title of the album refers to a line from the song Infinity : "One seeks confidence for life."

criticism

Kai Butterweck from laut.de draws the conclusion about “Lebenslänge”: “Basically everything stays the same: great songwriting mixes with lyrical authenticity and sophisticated technical know-how. In the end there is a coherent, warmly produced package like the famous rock in the surf. "
