The shot put women in the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 2017 was on March 3, 2017 in the Kombank Arena in Belgrade instead. In the final, the Hungarian Anita Márton prevailed with a world best of 19.24 meters, ahead of the Bulgarian Radoslawa Mawrodiewa and the Belarusian Julija Leanzjuk . As the best German, Claudine Vita took fifth place with her personal best of 18.09 meters.
