Athletic career

Because of a torn biceps tendon, she turned away from throwing the javelin. In 2012, Kenzel was second in the shot put and third with the discus on the 15-year-olds best of the year.

From 2013 onwards, the shot putter was present every year at an international high point in the junior classes and also competed successfully in discus throwing in the youth field.

At the German Indoor Championships 2017 in the Arena Leipzig , Kenzel finished second behind Christina Schwanitz with 17.28 m . At the German Championships 2017 , she took third place behind Sara Gambetta and Josephine Terlecki with a width of 16.76 m.

At the German Indoor Championships 2018 in the Helmut-Körnig-Halle in Dortmund , Kenzel was able to secure the German indoor championship title with a width of 17.37 m.

In 2019 Kenzel reached eighth place at the European Indoor Championships and was European champion in the outdoor season at the U23 European Championships in Gävle, Sweden .
