Lenka Pavlovič

Lenka Pavlovič (born January 19, 1986 in České Budějovice ) is a Czech opera , operetta and concert singer ( soprano ).

Life

Lenka Pavlovič completed her seven-year vocal training at the music school in Třeboň and won several prizes at national and international singing competitions under the guidance of her teacher Stanislava Blažíčková . She then moved to the Ecclesiastical Conservatory in Bratislava where she continued her studies with Eva Malatincová . In the Bratislava Puppet Theater ( Bratislavské bábkové divadlo ) she appeared as Gretel in the opera Hansel and Gretel by Engelbert Humperdinck and as Morgana in the opera Alcina by Georg Friedrich Händel . From 2009 she continued her studies at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and graduated in 2014 under Vladimír Doležal , the soloist of the National Theater in Prague . Further studies took her to Vienna with the soprano Julia Conwell .

Pavlovič completed several international singing competitions, such as the International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition , the International Singing Competition New Voices and the International Hilde Zadek Singing Competition . With her participation and the winning of several prizes at the International Antonín Dvořák Competition 2011, she achieved her breakthrough in her career and took her to the Czech opera stages. She has performed at the FX Šalda Theater in Liberec since 2013 a. a. as Adele in the Fledermaus by Johann Strauss , as the first forest nymph in Rusalka by Antonín Dvořák and as Wanda in Polenblut by Oskar Nedbal . Since 2014 she can be seen more and more often on the Prague stages, where she sells her repertoire a. a. extended to include Papagena in Mozart s Magic Flute , Kate Pinkerton in Puccini s Madama Butterfly and Eurydice in Offenbach s Orpheus in der Unterwelt . In 2016 she received the Thalia Award of the Czech Actors' Association in the operetta category for the role of Hortense in The Opera Ball by Richard Heuberger in Ostrava .

The singer had her first international appearance in August 2014 at the classical music festival "Kultur im Schloss Kirchstetten " ( Austria ), where she impressed as Zerlina in Don Giovanni by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart . The following year she set at this festival the Gianetta in L'elisir d'amore by Gaetano Donizetti . Her debut in Slovakia gave them in October 2017 at the State Theater Košice as Nannetta in Verdi 's Falstaff . She had her first appearance in a production on a German stage in December 2017 at the Leipzig Opera House as a kitchen boy in Rusalka by Antonín Dvořák .
