Wolf Sylvius Leopold von Frankenberg and Ludwigsdorf (born April 29, 1785 in Breslau , † December 15, 1878 in Slawentzitz Castle , district of Cosel ) was a Prussian lawyer and conservative politician . He was the age president of the Volkshaus of the Union Parliament in 1850 and of the Reichstag (twice in 1867 and once in 1871).

His parents were the Prussian major general Karl Wolfgang von Frankenberg and Ludwigsdorf (1730–1791) and his second wife Charlotte von Massow (1756–1836).

Leopold von Frankenberg entered the Prussian judicial service as a senior court assessor in 1807 . He fought in the Wars of Liberation and earned the Iron Cross 2nd class. He later became a higher regional judge in Glogau ( Lower Silesia ). In 1827 he was Vice President of the Higher Regional Court in Racibórz ( Upper Silesia ) and in 1830/1831 Vice President of the Higher Regional Court in Breslau (Lower Silesia). From 1832 to 1848 he was chief president of the Higher Appeal Court and, in 1835, of the Higher Regional Court in Poznan . In 1840 Frankenberg was appointed to the Real Secret Council and left the judiciary around 1855.

From 1850, Frankenberg was politically active as a member of the Erfurt Volkshaus and a member of the Prussian First Chamber. In 1854 he was appointed crown syndic and thus a member of the new Prussian mansion and immediately its vice-president. From 1867 to 1870 he was a member and age-president of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation for the Conservative Party, and then from 1871 to 1874 of the German Reichstag . From 1868 to 1870 he was also the senior president of the German customs parliament .

From 1821 he was the owner of the manor on Nieder-Schüttlau in the district of Guhrau (Lower Silesia).

Frankenberg married Henriette von Sydow on September 3, 1817 (* March 10, 1791 at Gut Stolzenfels; † March 11, 1837). The couple had the following children:
