Leuris Pupo Requejo (born April 9, 1977 in Holguín ) is a Cuban sports shooter . He shoots with the rapid fire pistol .

Leuris Pupo, who started shooting in 1997, took part in five Olympic Games : in 2000 he finished ninth in Sydney , four years later he finished the competition in seventh place. He repeated this result in Athens in 2008 . At the Olympic Games in London in 2012 he reached the final round with 586 points as third in the qualification, which he finished in first place with 34 points and thus became Olympic champion . In 2016 , he finished fifth in Rio de Janeiro . Pupo was also successful at the Pan American Games . He won gold medals in Santo Domingo in 2003 and Rio de Janeiro in 2007 , and silver in Lima in 2019 .

He is divorced and has two children.
