The Lindner Hotels AG is a medium-sized, family-run hotel company based in Dusseldorf , which operates more than 30 hotels under the brand names "Lindner Hotels & Resorts" and "me and all hotels" in Europe.

Lindner Hotels AG is active as a developer, operator, owner and investor in the hotel sector and acts as a franchisor . The company currently (as of 2019) has 35 hotels in seven European countries. The group also operates five boarding houses in Germany.

The company offers a total of around 5,000 rooms and employs around 2,000 people in Europe. All hotels that belong to the company have three to five stars . In the 2018 financial year , the hotel group had a turnover of 193 million euros.

The Lindner Hotels include business and congress hotels, wellness and golf resorts and a holiday park . They are located in Germany , Austria , Switzerland , Belgium , Spain , Slovakia and the Czech Republic . According to the strategy, the individual hotels of the hotel group should differ in terms of their target groups and offers.

The hotel group also includes themed hotels such as the first stadium hotel in Germany, the Lindner Hotel BayArena in Leverkusen , and the first zoo-themed hotel, the Lindner Park-Hotel Hagenbeck in Hamburg near the zoo of the same name .

me and all hotels

In 2016, the me and all hotel in Düsseldorf opened, the first of a series of boutique hotels with a modern design concept, which includes coworking opportunities and its own coffee roastery . Lindner Hotels AG currently holds two thirds of the brand, with other holdings from Clemens Tönnies and the Hildesheimer Hanseatic Group. Further me and all hotels are planned in Kiel , Hanover , Ulm , Leipzig and in Stuttgart main station .

history

Today's Lindner Hotels AG was founded in 1973 by architect and engineer Otto Lindner in Düsseldorf under the name Rheinstern-Hotel GmbH & Co. KG. The company's first hotel was today's Lindner Congress Hotel am Düsseldorfer Seestern . A few years later, the first Lindner hotel outside Germany was opened in Crans-Montana, Switzerland . By the turn of the millennium, further branches followed, including in Oberstaufen , Leipzig , Leverkusen and at Düsseldorf Airport . In 1991 Otto Lindner, one of the founder's five sons, took over the management of the company.

In 1996, Lindner presented the first multimedia hotel in Frankfurt am Main , which offered computers in the rooms and the use of video conference technology .

Since 2000

Since the turn of the millennium, one or more branches of the Lindner Group have been opened every year, including a golf resort on Mallorca in 2003 . In 2004, Lindner AG acquired the Main Plaza in Frankfurt am Main, which was designed by the architect Hans Kollhoff . In 2009, the Lindner Park-Hotel Hagenbeck opened the first zoo themed hotel in Hamburg . In the same year, Lindner took over two hotels and a holiday village at the Nürburgring . Another theme hotel followed in 2011 with the Lindner Hotel & Sports Academy in Frankfurt, which was realized in cooperation with the German Gymnastics Federation . In 2016, the me and all hotel opened in Düsseldorf, the first of a series of boutique hotels whose concept and design are aimed specifically at business customers, city travelers and the local population. Otto Lindner, one of the three board members of Lindner Hotels AG, has also represented the hotel industry since 2016 as chairman of the German Hotel Association (IHA) .

sustainability

According to its own statements, Lindner Hotels AG uses various sustainability measures; almost all Lindner hotels and all me and all hotels use green electricity . Lindner also uses block-type thermal power stations and photovoltaic systems at several locations for an independent supply of energy and heat. Some of the company's hotels also have filling stations for e-bikes and electric cars .

Since 2016, the Lindner Hotels have been working together with United Against Waste e. V. against food waste. In a case study from the same year, the company demonstrated that within ten years it had succeeded in reducing statistical CO 2 emissions per occupied room by 73 percent.
