This is a list of the largest banks in Germany .

Ranking 2018

The 2018 ranking was created from the individual balance sheets of the banks , as there is no freely available more up-to-date list, e.g. B. is available from the banking association as a public source. The ranking is based on the balance sheet total . The seat , the number of employees and the number of branches are also listed . The figures are given in billions of euros according to IFRS at group level and refer to the 2018 financial year with previous year's figures from 2017.
