List of cultural assets in Wohlen

The list of cultural assets in Wohlen contains all objects in the municipality of Wohlen in the canton of Aargau that are subject to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict , the Federal Act of June 20, 2014 on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflicts and the Ordinance of June 29 , 2014 October 2014 on the protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict .

Objects in categories A and B are completely included in the list, objects in category C are currently missing (as of January 1, 2018). Other protected objects can be found under other monuments , which are recorded in the building and usage regulations of the municipality and are not already included in the list of cultural assets.

		Catholic parish church St. Leonhard KGS-No .: 295	A.	G	Kirchenplatz six hundred sixty-three thousand four hundred and forty-one  /  244820	The church building, built by Niklaus Purtschert between 1804 and 1807 , is considered to be the main work of classical sacred architecture in Aargau . About a striking staircase tripartite gabled facade rises. This is followed by a five-bay nave and a retracted choir . The late Gothic church tower from 1488 comes from a previous building.
		Häslerhau KGS-No .: 9537	A.	F.	Häslerhau six hundred sixty-two thousand nine hundred fifty  /  246859	Group of grave mounds from the late Hallstatt period with 12 graves, researched from 1925 to 1930. In addition, finds of mostly bronze grave goods.
		Emanuel Isler house with garden house KGS-No .: 292	B.	G	Kirchenplatz 2 663,401  /  244914	Manorial town house built in 1819 under a steep, high hipped roof . Three-storey, symmetrically structured, cube-shaped structure with wide corner pilasters and arched windows . In 1876 a late classical garden house was added.
		Former factory building of the Isler company KGS-No .: 293	B.	G	Bärengässli 7 663 331  /  244778	Late classicist manufacturing building for the straw industry, built in 1854 by Leonhard Zeugheer . Symmetrical, strict cubic structure with transverse wings and a square back courtyard.
		Villa Isler KGS-No .: 297	B.	G	Bünzstrasse 5 663177  /  244767	Two-storey house built in 1860 in the classical style. A loggia with four Ionic columns was added. The former factory owner's villa has been used as a museum since 2012.
		Straw museum in the Villa Isler KGS-No .: 8614	B.	S.	Bünzstrasse 5 663177  /  244770	Museum about the history of the straw industry , which for two centuries formed the basis of a flourishing industry in Wohlen and the surrounding area.
		Cantonal school KGS no .: 9022	B.	G	Allmendstrasse 26 662,846  /  245324	School building opened in 1988, an outstanding example of modern architecture . The roof structures are among the earliest works by Santiago Calatrava .
		Administration building of Georges Meyer AG KGS-No .: 15909	B.	G	Bahnhofweg 17 662 971  /  244435	Generously sized office building built between 1917 and 1919 in the transition from neo-baroque to neo-classicism . Three-storey solid construction under a high hipped roof with roof hatches on all sides . Completely symmetrical structure.

G	Bremgarterstrasse 7 663.55 thousand  /  244808	Late Classicist / Biedermeier-style residential and commercial building for the cloth merchant Geissmann, built from 1835 to 1838. Two-storey building with a central entrance under a gable roof with a striking transverse gable.
		Former administration building of the company Isler KGS-Nr .: 15911	B.	G	Bünzstrasse 1 663 349  /  244826	Classicist office building built in 1835 . Articulated rectangular building under a slightly sloping hipped roof . Temple-like gabled central projection on the front.
		Franz-Xaver-Kapelle KGS-Nr .: 15912	B.	G	Hägglingerstrasse, Anglikon six hundred and sixty-two thousand two hundred and forty-six  /  246385	Baroque chapel built in 1746 . Even structure through arched windows , bell towers with pointed helmets . Choir with columnar altar in Louis-Seize style.
		Multi-family house KGS no .: 15913	B.	G	Bifangstrasse 21 six hundred and sixty-three thousand six hundred sixty-seven  /  244344	Flat-roof apartment building built in 1931/32 by A. Beriger with a clear facade structure. Exemplary representative of the new building .
		Primary school and swimming pool Bünzmatt KGS no .: 15914	B.	G	Sorenbühlweg six hundred sixty-two thousand eight hundred sixteen  /  245020	Outdoor swimming pool built by Dolf Schnebli in 1965/66 in a spacious green area and an adjacent school complex , both of which follow the principles of structuralism . Significant evidence of post-war modernism .
		Roman Catholic rectory KGS no .: 15916	B.	G	Chilegässli 2 six hundred sixty-three thousand four hundred and four  /  244822	Rectory built in 1759 . Simple three-storey plastered building under a curved hipped roof . Structure through arched windows and corner pilasters .
		St. Anna Chapel KGS-No .: 15917	B.	G	Kapellstrasse 663,422  /  245 088	Chapel built in the late Gothic style in 1513/14 . Polygonal choir , roof turret with needle helmet . The winged altar dates from the early 16th century and was originally located in the Hergiswald pilgrimage church .
