Distribution of seats during the 1st legislative period

This list gives an overview of the members of the Saarland Landtag in the 1st electoral period (1947–1952). The Legislative Assembly of the Saarland was constituted on October 14, 1947; from it emerged the first state parliament of Saarland, which met on December 15 of the same year for its constituent session.

After the election of 1947 , the 50 mandates of the Legislative Assembly and the State Parliament were made up as follows:

On October 14, 1948, Karl Hoppe resigned from the Communist Party, which meant that it lost its party status. By excluding Heinrich Danzebrink from the CVP Group this in 1949 in the meantime only 27 members had. The three members of the DPS parliamentary group resigned from their party on November 8, 1950 and formed the Democratic parliamentary group.
