List of stumbling blocks in Kempten (Allgäu)
The list of the stumbling blocks in Kempten (Allgäu) provides an overview of the the artist Gunter Demnig laid stumbling blocks in the city of Kempten (Allgäu) . This list is based on the data provided by the Stolpersteine für Kempten und Umgebung eV initiative , unless otherwise stated in the individual entries.
The stumbling blocks are concrete cubes with an edge length of 10 centimeters with a brass top. They are let into the sidewalk in front of the houses in which the victims once lived or worked. The tablets are stamped: name, year of birth, fate and date and place of death. The stumbling blocks remind of the fate of the people who were murdered, deported, expelled or driven to suicide during the National Socialist era.
