List of stumbling blocks in Seesen
The list of stumbling stones in Seesen contains all stumbling stones that were laid by Gunter Demnig in Seesen and in the district of Rhüden as part of the art project of the same name . The first stone was laid on July 25, 2006, followed by 12 more stones and a trip threshold on March 9, 2012. On December 3, 2012, three stones were moved to two addresses in Rhüden for the first time, and on December 4, 2012, 18 more stones to five addresses in Seesen. Seesen now has 33 stumbling blocks and a trip threshold .

Liselotte Rosenbaum (1909–1943) was born on December 20, 1909 in Förste near Osterode . Her parents were Julius and Klara Rosenbaum, geb. Hanauer, and she had a brother, Kurt, who was three and a half years younger. Her father died in 1914 and so she grew up only with her mother and brother. She studied at a business school and then trained as a secretary. Her brother Kurt began training in Münster in 1932 , and they followed him a year later. When the business in which Lieselotte and Kurt worked was "Aryanized", Kurt emigrated to Holland in 1936 and on to South Africa in 1937, where he then lived. His mother followed him shortly afterwards, Lieselotte did not manage to emigrate and therefore went to Hanover , where she stayed with aunts. On March 31, 1942 she was deported to the Warsaw Ghetto and on May 2, 1943 to Trawniki, in November 1943 she was murdered in Lublin or Trawniki . After her deportation, she married Martin Heine, whom she had met in Hanover, on April 9, 1942, in the Warsaw ghetto. A day later he was deported to Treblinka. |

Hermann Plaut (1876–1942) was born on January 1st, 1876 in Frankenau and lived in Groß Rhüden and Hanover. He was deported from Hanover to Riga on December 15, 1941, and was declared dead after the Second World War. Hermann Plaut was a merchant in Rhüden and head of the synagogue community; he and his wife Paula had three children. The two daughters were able to emigrate to England in 1939; his wife died on December 11, 1941. Hermann Plaut and his son Rudolf Plaut were deported, Hermann Plaut died on November 30, 1942. The names of Hermann and Rudolf Plaut are recorded on the memorial for the murdered Jews of Hanover on Opernplatz. |
