Soest North Rhine-Westphalia After Albert von Störmede bequeathed his fiefdom to his son-in-law Friedrich von Hörde, the wagon wheel from the family coat of arms of the von Hörde family was added to the local coat of arms.

The wheels will often be straightening wheels . The cities or municipalities that had the wheel in their coat of arms had the privilege of high jurisdiction. Only the high judiciary had the right to carry out physical punishments (e.g. cycling).
