Blazon : "Shield divided in silver and red above a red bar cross, below a six-spoke golden wheel." | |
Crest Reason: acquisition of the crest of the former - now defunct - municipality Binsfeld. The place was previously under the electorate of Trier , hence the electoral red cross in silver. The golden wheel stands both as a symbol for agriculture and for the peddling trade that used to be widespread in Binsfeld . In Binsfeld, the pedestrian trade and trades, and up to the present day agriculture, were primarily part of the livelihood structure. |
