Hupperath ( phonetic transcription in Eifeler dialect : Haupterth ) in the Eifel is a municipality in the district of Bernkastel-Wittlich in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Verbandsgemeinde Wittlich-Land . Through the center of the 50 runs latitude .

history

Hupperath was first mentioned in 1137 as Humbrecterod . From 1794 Hupperath was under French rule , in 1815 the place was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia at the Congress of Vienna . Since 1946 it has been part of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.

The local community of Hupperath has a music club , a sports club (Spielvereinigung Minderlittgen-Hupperath e.V.), a men's choir (together with Minderlittgen), a volunteer fire brigade with youth fire brigade and the flora and fauna association in Hupperath.

Regular events

• New Year's Rock: A rock event that takes place once a year. The event is organized by the Hupperath Music Association.
• Concert evening of the Musikverein. This takes place once a year in November.
• Women's Thursday: Children's carnival in the afternoon; afterwards a colorful evening with hand-made speeches and sketches.

The leisure week “Ferien am Ort” is organized by the game association Minderlittgen / Hupperath in cooperation with the music association Hupperath. It offers young people a varied leisure activity during the summer holidays.
