Minderlittgen ( phonetic spelling in Eifel dialect : Mannerleehtchen ) in the Eifel is a municipality in the district of Bernkastel-Wittlich in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Verbandsgemeinde Wittlich-Land .

history

Minderlittgen was first established in 912 as Lutiaco by King Charles III. mentioned in a document. The basic form of the place name is Lutiacum. Other names of the village are:

Until 1147 the imperial abbey of St. Maximin was the landlord in Minderlittgen. Then the place came into possession of Kurtrier . From 1794, Minderlittgen was under French rule, in 1815 the place was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia at the Congress of Vienna . Since 1946 it has been part of the then newly formed state of Rhineland-Palatinate.

The local community of Minderlittgen has a volunteer fire brigade , a music club , a men's choir (together with Hupperath), a sports club (Spielvereinigung Minderlittgen-Hupperath e.V.), a table tennis club , a church choir , a Möhnen club and a church building club .

Regular events

  • Möhnen session : A carnival event organized by the Möhnenverein.
  • Carnival parade on Shrove Monday alternating annually with the neighboring community of Hupperath
  • Sports festival of the sports club (in Hupperath)
  • Fair with a concert evening by the Musikverein. This takes place on the last weekend in October.
