Pantenburg ( phonetic transcription in Eifeler dialect : Pahntebuasch ) is a municipality in the district of Bernkastel-Wittlich in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Verbandsgemeinde Wittlich-Land .

geography

The village is in the Eifel . In the west is Manderscheid , in the east Wallscheid . The boundary of Pantenburg and Eckfeld runs through the hamlet of Buchholz to the north .

Pantenburg includes the Pantenburg station and Buchholz (former monastery) residential areas.

history

From 1794 Pantenburg was under French rule, in 1815 the place was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia at the Congress of Vienna . Since 1946 it has been part of the then newly formed state of Rhineland-Palatinate .

Municipal council

The council in Pantenburg consists of six council members, who in the local elections on May 26, 2019 in a majority vote were elected, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
