societies

The Sehlem-Esch music association was founded in 1929. Due to the Second World War, however, musical life in Sehlem and Esch came to a complete standstill, until in 1952 a double club "Concordia" Sehlem-Esch, consisting of the music club and the male choir, was founded. In 1987 the association was separated into two independent associations, the choral society and the music association.

Nature Conservation Group Sehlem (NABU) eV: The association was founded in 1978 as the Sehlem bird protection group in what was then the German Association for Bird Protection. The group is committed to the preservation of natural habitats and provides practical nature conservation. The focus is on protecting birds and amphibians as well as maintaining the club's own areas (wetlands, hedges and orchards).
