List of protected parts of the landscape in the Hallein district

The list of protected landscape parts in the Hallein district contains the protected landscape parts in the Hallein district ( Land Salzburg ). The district is home to a total of nine protected parts of the landscape, with three protected areas in the municipality of Golling an der Salzach and two each in the municipalities of Hallein and Kuchl . The protected parts of the landscape encompass the most diverse types of biotopes, with bodies of water, alluvial forests, bog areas, avenues, forests and valley landscapes being among the protected areas.

The Bluntau valley was protected to preserve the landscape, the special communities of plants and animals, for reasons of species protection and scientific importance as well as for the networking of individual habitats and recreation. The valley is located in the Greater Northern Limestone Alps, is traversed by the Torrener Bach and serves as a local recreation area for Salzburg. 433.8 ha 06/04/1980

The Riefer Schloßallee was designated as a protected part of the landscape in order to preserve the character of the landscape and the network of living spaces. The protected area consists of three parts, one part of which includes the rows of oaks and ash trees on both sides of the access road to Rif Castle that runs along the old Salzachhohe terrace. The second part includes the linden trees that stand along the street that leads from the castle forecourt around the castle property and descends on the lower terrace, the third section comprises the avenue made up of chestnut trees that runs from the castle forecourt at right angles to the street axis of the 1st section to the NE branches off and leads to Haus Rif on the Salzachhocherrasse. 1.4 ha 01/30/1980

The Heiligensteiner Au is located on the western edge of the Salzach Valley and comprises the rest of an alluvial forest with a natural character and great biodiversity. The centerpiece of the protected area is a car pool that serves as a spawning area for amphibians. 1.67 ha December 19, 1984

Location
The Freimoos in the municipality of Kuchl is a wet meadow area between the Georgenberg and Unterlangenberg. The area is flooded several times a year and is home to occurrences of the Siberian iris ( Iris sibirica ), although this is probably the only location of this plant in Tennengau. 8.74 hectares December 2nd, 1985

Location
The pond in the municipality of Puch includes reed beaches, siltation zones and rushes. The protected area also includes an adjacent wet meadow ("coffee house meadow"). 4.49 ha December 4th, 1991
