The Obere Rotgüldensee is a nutrient-poor mountain lake at an altitude of 1996 m . It has an area of around 5 ha. The candelabra spruce is located around 220 m west of the Muritz chapel at an altitude of 1600 m in the wooded northern part of the property. The tree is 20 m high and has a chest height of 2.4 m. The sycamore maple ( Acer pseudoplatanus ) reaches a height of 20 m and has a circumference of 4 m measured at a height of 1.5 m (2016). The tree has a spherical crown and is located next to the Kaltenbach chapel.
