The flora in the alpine level is formed by Krummseggenrasen interspersed with rubble and rocky corridors in the summit area. Larch and Swiss stone pine forests grow on the steep flanks, while many wet areas such as spring meadows , sedge swamps and fens have formed in the flat areas due to the abundance of water .	11 km²	06/01/1977

Constant relocations create sand and gravel banks that are a habitat and retreat for a specially adapted animal world. The gravel bank brooders common sandpipers or little ringed plovers lay their eggs between the stones, where they hardly stand out from their surroundings. In insects z. B. the tiger beetle or the gravel bank grasshopper . The bank vegetation consists of butterbur meadows , willow bushes settle on the gravel terraces, and on the slopes there are sometimes species-rich canyons . From April 1st to July 31st, entry is prohibited to protect the floor structure from being trampled on.
