List of the best-selling IFPI-certified music albums in Austria
The list of the best-selling music albums certified by IFPI in Austria is an overview of all music albums that have received gold and platinum awards from IFPI Austria for over 150,000 copies sold. The most successful award-winning work comes from the American musician Michael Jackson , whose sixth studio album Thriller was awarded 8 times platinum for 400,000 units. The most successful works by local artists are money or life! ( First general uncertainty ) and Limitless ( STS ), each with 250,000 units. Since the introduction of audio recording awards by IFPI Austria in 1986, 32 albums have received awards for more than 150,000 units.
