Foreign Affair is Tina Turner's seventh studio album . It was released on Capitol Records in September 1989 . The album reached number 1 in Germany , Austria , Great Britain and Switzerland and number 31 in the USA .

history

Foreign Affair was produced by Dan Hartman and, although not quite able to build on the successes of Private Dancer and Break Every Rule , it reached the top of the charts and multiple platinum status in important European countries. It has been sold over six million times.

Of the twelve rock-pop songs, The Best developed into an international hit, but the other singles such as Steamy Windows , I Don't Wanna Lose You and the title track also made it into the charts.

criticism

On the Allmusic.com website , the reviewer gave it 3 out of 5 stars. In addition to the "mature" songs, Undercover Agent of the Blues is one of the most interesting pieces, it is "one of the finest pop-blues performances since BB King 's The Thrill Is Gone. "
