List of Portuguese ambassadors in Kuwait

The list of Portuguese ambassadors in Kuwait lists the ambassadors of the Republic of Portugal in Kuwait . The countries have had direct diplomatic relations since 1975.

The first ambassador of Portugal was accredited in 1981 in Kuwait. Portugal did not open its own embassy there; the Portuguese ambassador to Iraq was then responsible for Kuwait and double-accredited himself there. After the break in relations in 1992 ( UN resolution on Iraq ), Kuwait belonged to the administrative district of the Portuguese representative in Saudi Arabia , and the Portuguese ambassador to the United Arab Emirates has been responsible for Kuwait since 2011 (as of 2019).
