List of Portuguese ambassadors in Laos
The list of Portuguese ambassadors in Laos lists the ambassadors of the Republic of Portugal in Laos . The countries have had direct diplomatic relations since 1995, dating back to the first arrival of Portuguese explorers in what is now Laos in the 16th century.
For the first time , a Portuguese ambassador personally accredited himself in Laos in 1995. Portugal did not open its own embassy there, the Portuguese representative in Thailand is still responsible for Laos and is accredited for this purpose in the Laotian capital Vientiane (as of 2019).
