List of Portuguese ambassadors in Lebanon
The list of Portuguese ambassadors in Lebanon lists the ambassadors of the Republic of Portugal in Lebanon . The two countries have had diplomatic relations since 1955.
A Portuguese representative was accredited for the first time in the Lebanese capital Beirut in 1957 . Portugal opened its own embassy there in 1962. In 1987, Portugal closed its embassy again. Subsequently, the Portuguese ambassadors in Egypt , Tunisia and Turkey were temporarily responsible for Lebanon, and since 2008 the Portuguese ambassador to Cyprus has been accredited twice in Beirut .
A Portuguese honorary consulate has been set up in the Lebanese capital Beirut .
