List of Portuguese ambassadors in Syria

The list of Portuguese ambassadors in Syria lists the ambassadors of the Republic of Portugal in Syria . The two countries have had diplomatic relations since 1975.

A Portuguese representative was accredited for the first time in 1977 in the Syrian capital Damascus . Portugal did not open its own embassy there, the Portuguese ambassador in Cyprus (until 2005 the Portuguese ambassador in Egypt or Turkey ) is responsible for Syria and is accredited there for a second time .

A Portuguese honorary consulate has been set up in the Syrian city of Aleppo .
