The list of scientists from the Technical University of Aachen expelled by the Nazi regime includes, as far as is known, scientists from the Technical University of Aachen who were deposed or removed by the Nazi regime , arrested, forced to emigrate, driven to suicide or murdered . The first version of this list is based on the information in Maximilian Scheer's book Das deutsche Volk anklagt , which was written in 1936 while in exile in Paris.

Denunciations

In the spring of 1933, denunciation measures by the student body began at the Technical University of Aachen . The General Student Committee (ASTA) and the student leaders sent the denunciation committee specially appointed for this purpose, consisting of Hermann Bonin , Hubert Hoff , Felix Rötscher , Adolf Wallichs , and Robert Hans Wentzel, about which of the lecturers and professors were so-called "non-Aryan" descent should have been or supposedly or actually had an undesirable political attitude. In accordance with the law on the restoration of the professional civil service, their chair and teaching license should now be withdrawn. In all cases, the demands of the denunciation committee were complied with and the honorable gentlemen were either driven into retirement or emigration.

The mathematician Otto Blumenthal was killed in the Theresienstadt ghetto in November 1944 .
