Live at River Plate is a video and a live album by the Australian hard rock band AC / DC . It was first released as a concert recording on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on May 6, 2011 under the Sony Music label. The concert was recorded in December 2009 at the Estadio Monumental Antonio Vespucio Liberti , home of the CA River Plate soccer club in Buenos Aires , Argentina . The recordings took place on three consecutive days of the concert (December 2nd, 4th and 6th, 2009) and were recorded with 32 HD cameras. The concerts were part of the Black Ice World Tour in 2009 and 2010. On November 16, 2012, Columbia Records released the concert recordings as a live album on double CD and triple vinyl. The album reached the top of the German album charts and achieved gold status in Germany. The video album was awarded three times platinum for 150,000 units sold and is one of the best-selling video albums in Germany .
