The London International Airport is a regional airport in the Canadian province of Ontario . The airport is operated by the Greater London International Airport Authority. The airport is open around the clock all year round. In terms of passenger numbers, the airport ranks 12th in Canada based on take-offs and landings, even 11th. The entire airport with all 50 companies located here generates $ 357 million in sales per year and is one of the most with 1700 employees 10 largest employers in the region.
history
The airport was built near Crumlin in 1939 . Originally the airport was a military base. The site was later transferred to the City of London . The success story of this airport began with the involvement of Westjet Airlines in London. In 1998, the operation of the airport was transferred from Transport Canada to the Greater London International Airport Authority.

Airlines
London International Airport is used by Air Canada Express , Air Transat , Sunwing Airlines , Swoop , Westjet Airlines and WestJet Encore . Air Canada Express, Westjet Airlines and WestJet Encore only fly to domestic destinations. Air Transat and Sunwing Airlines, on the other hand, only serve destinations in the Caribbean , while Swoop serves both domestic and international destinations.
