The MABA Fertigteilindustrie GmbH is an Austrian company that precast concrete parts and other products operates generated and processed, as well as in civil engineering. The company, which has been part of the Kirchdorfer Group since the 1980s , works at four locations in Austria.

History and companies

Founded MABA in 1925 as an Austrian. MABA company - Bartels and Schlarbaum in Wöllersdorf . On the site of the former Wöllersdorfer Werke , the former fireworks building has been used as an office building ever since. Even then, similar precast products were made as they are today. The production facility was badly damaged in the Second World War . But production was resumed after the war.

In 1954, the product range was expanded to include the Purator precast sewage treatment plants . The precast concrete parts were produced in larger dimensions. In 1972 the production halls and administration were enlarged by 21,000 m².

In 1984 MABA was bought by the Kirchdorfer Group (Hofmann-Hierzer Group) in Kirchdorf an der Krems , a large concrete processor, and then traded as MABA Betonwaren Gesellschaft mbH. The company grew from around 8 million euros in 1984 through constant expansion , Company acquisitions and new product developments to over 54 million euros in 2000.

In 1992, today's MABA Fertigteilindustrie GmbH was founded, which focuses on the production, wholesale and assembly of parts for mast, structural, civil and electrical engineering. In the same year the company was awarded the state award associated with the use of the state coat of arms in business dealings. The parent company (Leading Company) is Kirchdorfer Fertigteilholding GmbH .

As a result, plants were also set up abroad. Today the company with around 500 employees has a turnover of around 80 million euros.

MABA precast industry

The MABA Fertigteilindustrie GmbH operates the overall management, and production of the core competencies of building and industrial construction, railway superstructure, road construction, civil engineering and the environment, and tunneling at the premises Wöllersdorf , Lower Austria, and Micheldorf , Upper Austria.

TIBA supply and disposal systems

TIBA supply and disposal systems GmbH , a water supply specialist in Lebring near Graz, Styria, was integrated into the Kirchdorfer pre-fab holding as a joint venture established in 2006 by MABA pre-fab industry and Frühwald in Leibnitz (building materials trade, gravel plant, precast concrete production). Today (2009) it is organized as TIBA Holding GmbH in Lebring and TIBA AUSTRIA GmbH St. Margarethen an der Raab –Kroisbach. This also includes the former Bauer Betonwerk , today TIBA Betonwerk GmbH in St. Margarethen.

The TIBA Group takes over the sewer technology , drainage technology and environmental technology ( sewage and separation technology , rainwater harvesting ) and pumping stations sector .

MABA Prefa, Eurobeton MABA

The plant in Veselí nad Lužnicí (MABA Prefa spol. S ro) is one of the largest precast concrete plants in the Czech Republic. The Delta Bloc parts, complete solutions for residential construction, in particular stairs, house connection blocks, as well as large-scale and spun concrete products are produced there

Two other plants are operated in Chvaletice and Luhov (Eurobeton MABA sro) . The product scheme corresponds to the Weseli plant.

MABA prefabricated house

In 1979 MABA Fertighaus GmbH was founded, which as a building trade builds the prefabricated houses produced in the main plant and specializes in terraced houses as well as single-family houses (brands: Egohaus , Haus und Grund , MABA Systembau , as well as replacement production for the bankrupt Romberger GmbH - Liaporhaus ). MABA prefabricated house is a member of the Austrian prefabricated house association and partner of klima: aktiv .

Rough precast construction

The MABA Group now also has 100% stakes in the company Rauter Fertigteilbau GmbH in Niederwölz in Upper Styria , which is engaged in the production of precast concrete parts and the Liapor clay solid houses.

DELTABLOC ® vehicle restraint systems

For this purpose, during the restructuring in 2000, the logistics and R&D sector of concrete retention systems was transformed into its own DELTA BLOC International GmbH (formerly DELTA BLOC Europe GmbH) based in Wr. Neustadt , and trading subsidiaries in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz , Germany (DELTA BLOC Deutschland GmbH) , Paris , France (DELTA BLOC France SAS) , Wakefield , Great Britain (DELTA BLOC UK Ltd.) and Hengelo , Netherlands (DELTA BLOC Nederland BV) . MABA Track Solutions, TSF-A – railway sleepers

Since 2007, the production of the railway sleepers has been outsourced to a separate company, MABA TRACK SOLUTIONS GmbH . The course is since 2008 through a separate company, the emerging sector TSF-A GmbH (Turnout Sleeper Factory Austria) as a joint venture with the UAE railway systems , a voestalpine operated subsidiary.

Since sleeper production began in 1990, over two million track sleepers and one million running meters of turnout sleepers have been produced and installed; the annual capacity at the Wöllersdorf plant is 200,000. Solutions are offered for the areas of normal rail , high-speed rail and urban areas ( subway and light rail ). Production is in Wöllersdorf (threshold Austria) , and the factories in Hungary, Romania and Turkey.

MABA Hungaria, MABA Romania, BETRA Prefabrike

The concrete sleeper plant in Várpalota , Hungary (MABA Hungaria Kft.) Has roughly the same capacity as the Wollersdorfer plant, while another, somewhat smaller plant is located in Rupea , Romania (MABA Romania SRL) . In addition, in 2003 under the name BETRA ( BETRA Prefabrike San.ve Tic.A.Ş. , in 50% ownership of MABA-T Ihracat Ithalat ve Tic. Ltd. Sti, based in Beykoz -Istanbul), two local railroad builders as Joint venture in Pamukova , Turkey, set up a plant that, in addition to 600,000 sleepers, also takes on Delta Bloc production for the Turkish market.

Kirchdorfer Kunststofftechnik (polyglass)

The Kirchdorferfeld Kunststofftechnik GmbH in Gerasdorf bei Wien produced products made of glass fiber reinforced plastics and injection-molded parts made of thermoplastics. Plastic manhole bottoms complement the TIBA supply and disposal systems program, and contract manufacturing is also carried out for automotive and railway suppliers and the civil engineering and mechanical engineering industries. Until January 2009 the company was called Polyglas Ing. Decker & Co GesmbH , originally founded in 1947 in Deutsch Wagram , the polyglas decker brand was retained. Well-known products include the front panels of the Taurus locomotives and the new V-cars of the Vienna underground .
